Dale Karns

Dale Karns has over 25 years of experience in management and business development. Dale was over the states of Texas and New Mexico’s Franchise community for Arby’s Inc. dealing with professionals from all walks of life. Dale was an International Trainer teaching an assortment of specialized subjects, and was also responsible for the training units at Arby’s. He was Director of Operations and President of Alabama/Guatemala Partners working with volunteers and his counter parts in Guatemala.
 
Education is Dale’s primary focus in the pilot / escorting industry as well. Dale left his position as a professor at Gadsden State Community College to work with Pit Row Services in Lincoln, Alabama and help teach the profession of pilot / escort operations to students from around the nation.
 
Dale is a certified instructor of the Washington State Pilot Car Certification and has taught the course to hundreds of operators in the Southeast and too numerous State Officials. Dale has spent the last 3 years working work federal, state, industry, and association officials towards advocating and advancing pilot car certification across the nation.

Dale has participated and advised in many conferences, meetings, forums, and expositions associated with the specialized transportation industry with various organizations including the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and Federal Highway Administration (FHA) in discussions including pilot / escort vehicle operations, safety, insurance, and best practices.
